Built on a raised deck with en-suite bathroom. There are 6 family rooms, perfect for guests with children. The bathrooms have a built-in shower and each tent has its own terrace from where guests can enjoy views of Lake Manyara and the Rift Valley.

At Maramboi Tented Camp choose from 10 Lodge Rooms or 20 tents are built on large, private wooden decks and shaded by tall palm trees; both offering magnificent views over the Rift Valley and Lake Manyara. Each room is set up with a double or twin bed draped in mosquito netting, a writing desk and en suite bathrooms with solar-heated showers.

The large dining area leads out to an extensive wooden deck and the pleasant swimming pool area; an ideal place to spend a lazy African afternoon. Relax under thatch in the comfortable open sided sitting areas, designed to catch the breeze as you gaze out over the savannah.

Maramboi Tented Camp is very close to the coast of Lake Manyara which is located in a natural protected area of 25.000 feet managed by the Maasai since the year 2003. It is only a 10 minute drive by car from Tarangire National Park.

Maramboi offers permanent camp facilities and endless vistas of golden grasslands and palm lined desert between Tarangire and Manyara Lake. A visit to the area is essential for anyone interested in evolution and the origins of Mankind.

Situated at the location of many famous archeological sites, where an area of 25,000 hectares has been set a side for conservation by the local Maasai Community. An impressive landscape from the Rift Valley gives the visitor an amazing natural welcome to an area extraordinarily rich in wildlife. The camp offers stunning views of the Manyara National Park, Rift Valley, Ngorongoro highlands and on clear days even Oldonyo Lengai a sacred mountain to the Maasai.

Maramboi Camp offers a complete semi desert experience, focusing on game drives. In the wet season, the Manyara and Tarangire Pans fill with water which attracts huge flocks of flamingos and other wading birds. This is the only place in East Africa where one is often able to see the migration of thousands of wildebeest and zebra, which are naturally followed by predators. Activities include, game drives, bird watching on the shores of the not too distant Lake Manyara and cultural interaction with Datoga and Maasai tribes, whose bomas populate the adjacent land.
