Stay at Singita Faru Faru Lodge
Faru Faru is a vibrant East African style luxury safari lodge with quirky elements of botany and entomology. A quiet, idyllic proximity to the riverine wilderness gives an authentically-refreshing and holistic connection with nature. Built on a gently sloping hill, Faru Faru Lodge is a calm and cooling respite after the long drives into the Serengeti wilderness. The camp is informal, unconventional and surprising at every turn. Singita Faru Faru Lodge's six air-conditioned tents feature picture windows and private viewing deck, with your own Swarovski spotting scope.
Built on a gently sloping hill, this riverine lodge, positioned on the renowned migratory route in Northern Tanzania’s Grumeti Reserve, is a place where you can quite literally expect the unexpected. Informal, unconventional and surprising at every turn, Singita Faru Faru Lodge is a mix of contemporary, organic style and the quirky practicality of a traditional botanist’s camp.
The eight rooms are stylish and quirky, the service is exemplary and the cuisine is sumptuous. With such close proximity to the river and plains, guests have the opportunity to experience a very close connection with the Serengeti wilderness. Faru Faru is a fabulous five-star lodge.
Accommodation at Singita Faru Faru Lodge
With only eight rooms, Faru Faru is a small, high-end lodge where service and hospitality are of the highest order. Privately owned by a wealthy American businessman, the Singita Reserve is the most luxurious reserve in Tanzania. We would go so far as to say that this camp is one of the finest products in Africa. It comes as no surprise that staying here is far from cheap. However, we are willing to put our neck on the line and argue that the value you get while staying in this reserve is some of the best you will find anywhere. No expense is spared here in the quest to deliver the perfect safari experience.
Paying some of the highest prices in the country rewards you with a service level that will compete with anywhere in Africa – this is unquestionably the highest standard of hospitality and service in the country. It is also worth mentioning that, due to the range of activities on offer, and the sheer quality of accommodation, Faru Faru is a very good destination to travel to outside the peak migration months. If visiting this camp outside its peak migration months, we often combine it with a more migration-focused camp.
Experience Singita Faru Faru Lodge
Set within Singita’s 350,000-acre private reserve in northern Tanzania, Faru Faru embodies a fresh take on African bush appeal and ushers in a new era of luxury wilderness safaris.
The café-style bar at the heart of the lodge hums with a subtle sparkle that spills over to the pool area and firepit, making for magical evenings under starlit skies.
Inspiring a profound sense of wellbeing, the undiluted natural light and breathtaking views over the river and savannah plains flow seamlessly into Faru Faru’s airy bedroom suites, where every creature comfort is catered for with intuitive ease. A pale-on-pale colour palette is beautifully offset by the soothing hues of winter grasses and pink river clay, while wide, oversized windows open up to welcome the natural surrounds inside.
For many, the idea of the Serengeti landscape conjures visions of endless golden grasslands and the stark outline of dry, thorny scrub. This is indeed one face of this vast ecosystem, but it can also be a shimmering, emerald sea of dense vegetation and flowering plants; the summer “green season”
