This luxurious 77 room lodge is in the heart of one of the planet's greatest safari areas, the Serengeti National Park. Four Seasons have created a unique property, blending complete comfort for its guests with the opportunity to have an unforgettable safari experience.
Take the opportunity to get out and experience the wildlife and local Maasai culture in the day, and retreat to the lodge in the evening to relax. The setting of the lodge is such that you may want to stay by the swimming pool. From here you can take in the dramatic views over the open savannah and bush, keeping an eye on the waterhole below as animals come down to drink throughout the day.
The facilities of the lodge offer everything a guest could want from a Four Seasons experience: a fully equipped fitness centre, business centre and spa are some of the options to explore within the lodge. A range of activities out in the bush and with professional guides at the lodge will add memories to the experience.
Accommodation at Four Seasons Safari Lodge
There are 77 guest rooms throughout the property, all enjoying fantastic views out over the Serengeti. The rooms have been decorated in a fresh contemporary style, whilst keeping in mind the African context. All feature four-poster beds with draped mosquito netting, as well as local textures and artwork.
All rooms also have a private outside space, the suites and villas also have fantastic pools from which to take in the views. There is high speed internet and air conditioning throughout the property, flat-screen tvs and and a private refrigerated bar provide added comfort. Four Seasons provide a full pillow menu, and can even organise for black-out drapes to be fitted to the windows if needed.
Experience Four Seasons Safari Lodge
Four Seasons have created a range of dining experiences at Safari Lodge, each adds something special to the experience of staying here: whether it be a meal around the fire at the Boma, or a picnic breakfast in the bush.
Kula's restaurant focuses on contemporary international and local dishes, representing the diversity of cultures that have contributed to this area of Africa. Particular influence is taken from Cape Malay and Indian cuisine. Kula's offers buffet dining combined with theatre-style cooking in the restaurant. In a separate room within the restaurant is the wine cellar, the focus is on South African wines, tours and tasting are regularly organised.
The Boma Grill is a great dining experience, blending traditional and contemporary culinary approaches. There is a unique circular seating plan around a central open fire-pit. The menu focuses on grilled items and the Maasai will ensure a memorable evening.
In the evening you would be foolish to miss the opportunity to watch the sun set from the sundowner bar. There is an informal bar where you can mix your own drinks, alternatively order from an extensive cocktail and beverage list.
Maji Bar is set on the first floor, overlooking the pool and the waterhole beyond. It's a great location for a cocktail and a simply prepared fresh meal. The menu focuses on items such as homemade pizza, pasta, sandwiches and African tapas.
