The River Camp
Newly opened in January 2023, The River Camp is set on the banks of the Ngobit River within the Ol Pejeta Conservancy. Striking the perfect balance between simple comfort and natural elegance, the camp offers the perfect setting for an exclusive safari experience. Intimate and sustainably built, the camp offers seven luxury twin/double tents and one family unit, creating a total capacity of 16 people. All guest tents have an en suite bathroom as well as both indoor and outdoor showers. At night, enjoy showering under the stars and during the day, bask on the outdoor daybed overlooking the river and water hole beyond your very own private deck.

Stay at The River Camp
A swimming pool and spa treatment tent will complete the safari experience at The River Camp . The common areas, stilted on expansive decks, will boast spectacular views for al fresco dining and social gatherings. On the menu, savour bush meals prepared with a modern flair and the chefs will go out of their way to take great care in catering to your dietary requirements. A well stocked bar keeps you hydrated after game drives. The camp will offer daily game drives, night drives, horse riding , lion trekking and walking safaris led by the expert camp guides.
With only 12 guests at a time in this remote setting, it is one of the most exclusive experiences in East Africa. A big focus of ours while constructing this camp was to be as respectful as possible to its delicate and treasured landscapes and wildlife, building it intimately and sustainably. In addition to the indoor en-suite bathrooms, the guest tents at River Camp also feature outdoor showers overlooking the river. These showers provide guests with a unique and refreshing experience, allowing them to enjoy the beautiful views and wildlife while bathing. It’s an excellent opportunity for birdwatching and wildlife spotting, making for an unforgettable safari experience.
Accommodation at The River Camp
The Camp offers two spacious family tents that can accommodate up to four people. The tents feature a master bedroom with a double bed and an adjacent separate area with two single beds. The central lounge area offers a comfortable space for families to relax and spend time together, while the exterior sitting deck provides additional space to take in the stunning views of the river and wildlife. With a maximum of 8 pax at any given time, our family tents are able to accomodate those travelling as large families.
