At Saruni Mara Camp
The Mara North Conservancy is one of the oldest of the Mara’s conservancies and, taken as a whole, has the most camps. Yet from Saruni Mara your first few hours’ game drive are delightfully quiet – with few other vehicles around to interrupt your game sightings. Saruni is also located near a small village, which gives your stay here a more rounded experience than that of just wildlife. Each day you pass by a community – and in doing so learn a little about the way of life here.
At Saruni Mara, guests can choose to enjoy game drives or guided bush walks, enjoy meals out in the bush or watch the sun set as they sip on their favorite Sundowners.
Guests can relax at the Masaai well-being Space spa or get absorbed in the history of Africa at the library. The camp can organise drawing safaris (advance booking required) for artists to hone their skills in this beautiful environment, and younger guests will enjoy the “warrior for a week” program where they can learn various bush skills such as how to throw a spear and how to track different animal species.
