Things to do at Kibo Safari Camp
- Maasai Dance: In the evenings from 9.00 to 9.30 Masaai morans entertain our guests at the bonfire with their traditional dances and will also explain to you the meanings of their dances and songs. You are encouraged to join in and see if you could jump higher than a Masaai!
- Maasai Cultural Tour: You will be taken by van to a Maasai village where you will spend the day visiting the ‘manyattas’ and experience their way of life. The Maasai people are an old nomadic tribe that lives in harmony with nature and is one of the few remaining tribes in Kenya that tries to hold on to their traditions. This is at an extra fee payable direct to the Maasai moran (Maasai guide) before the tour begins.
- Game Drives: Amboseli’s fragile ecosystem displays an impressive wildlife variety, with more than 50 mammal species. The park is famous for being the best place in Africa to get close to free-ranging elephants among other wildlife species. Another attraction at the park is the opportunity to meet the Masaai and of course the spectacular view of Mt. Kilimanjaro.
